Lots of Fun

Our members have been at it again, producing awesome quilts shared at Monday's meeting. First is  the quarterly block that has been completed by some of our members.

When all the blocks are handed in in September, a drawing will be held. Everyone who has handed in their block will have a chance to win by her name being drawn out of the entries. There are always enough blocks for the winner to make into a quilt. Then the winner has to choose a quarterly block  for a future project and drawing. Lots of fun.

This week's show and tell wowed the members again!

Showing the members the finished quilt we all participated in creating. It is being donated to the day care center located in the church building where our meetings are held. It will be raffled off to raise money for the day care center.

Our guild is celebrating our 20th anniversary in September. We are inviting past members to join us for our celebration dinner. As favors we are each making star hot pads to be given to our guests. Here we're busy creating those hot pads.

Our First July Meeting

First of all, I want to apologize for not posting about the last guild meeting in June. We were in the process of purchasing a new car and I completely forgot the guild meeting that week until the next day. Duh! But on with the first meeting of July.

The schedule has been set for the coming year and lots of fun is in store for our guild members. Besides projects that are planned such as our pinwheel block exchange with an Amish flavor and a mystery quilt, we will be celebrating our guild's TWENTIETH anniversary in September with a special dinner for current and past members. Planning is going on as I write.
