Apologizing

I want to apologize to our readers. I won't be able to make it to our guild meeting today. I went out to my car and started loading it up with my projects. When I turned the key in the ignition...click, click, click. Dead battery! It was just too cold this past week and the battery could only take so much. So no report on the meeting today. However, I've been playing around with our blog appearance and giving you something different to look at. Stay warm everyone. Until next time....keep sewing up those quilts!

Lunch and A Day of Quilting

For the months of January and February our guild meets during the day instead of our usual evening meetings. It's much easier on the members not to have to contend with driving at night in the winter weather. We had a light turnout at our last meeting. Approximately half of our members were in attendance. Each member brought her own lunch and we enjoyed working on our own projects. There were very few finished projects to share but pictures are as follows.

Elaine is making a quilt with dog blocks.

Sharon showing one of a set of placemats she is working on.

Pat our new member is showing a tote she made.

And here is a peek at the next quarterly block we are working on. These are 25 inch blocks and will work up into a nice quick quilt.
