Our Last Daytime Meeting For The Year

No, we're not going away. Our guild has been meeting during the day for the months of January and February. Because the worst part of the winter occurs during this time period, it's easier on the members to travel to the meeting during the daylight. We've had a lot of fun, going in early and staying after our official meeting. We've used the time to work on various projects and enjoy chatting. The only downside to this has been that some of our members work during the day and had to miss out on quilt guild. Next month we will go back to our usual meeting time in the evening. It's been decided that we can go to our meeting place in the afternoon if we wish, work on projects and enjoy the company of other quilters before our meetings.

A few of our ladies shared their finished projects with the guild.

A Lovely Day At The Quilt Guild And The Latest Finished Underground Railroad Quilt

Our guild is still meeting during the day in February. Today we had twelve members attending. We arrived early and enjoyed chatting and, of course, sewing. Our meeting was convened and members shared their finished projects.  Each member brought her own lunch and Ceil brought a plate of cookies to share with the members. Then we continued to work on our projects.

The following pictures are of our latest quarterly block. These blocks each measure 25 inches. They'll work up into a quilt very quickly.
