Our Latest Quarterly Dinner

Last Monday night guild members enjoyed our latest quarterly dinner. Four times a year we participate in a potluck type of dinner. Each member commits to a category of food and brings that choice to the dinner. We have a talented group of cooks in our midst and every dish is a pleasure to experience.

A Feast!
After our dinner we enjoyed a talk by a local massage therapist followed by a presentation by our featured member for this meeting Shirley. A mother of 5, grandmother of 15, and great grandmother of 3, Shirley, along with her husband, has traveled to many countries and been involved in short term mission trips in 6 countries. She join the guild two years ago. Shirley has been involved in making a quilt for each of her grandchildren and is keeping notebook for each one.

Oodles Of Fun

We had another featured member at this week's meeting. Sharon is a prolific quilter. She likes to garden, does cross stitch, works with wool and also enjoys card making. She got started in quilt making by making blocks with a friend.

The following blocks are the last featured member's chosen block,Rolling Stonem for guild members to make. (Please forgive this blogger. I was signing the featured block from the last meeting that members had made and trying to take photos to post on this blog. I neglected to note which members made these blocks.)
