Winding Down

This week guild members enjoyed another quarterly dinner. These ladies are such good cooks! Members brought in a variety of dishes to share. Yum!

After our tummies were filled and a little business taken care of, we sang happy birthday to our birthday 'triplets'. Those crowns are irresistible!
Birthday girls in order from left to right: Shirley, Karen and Ceil.
Then Karen proceeded to present our next quarterly block challenge.
This was our last quarterly block challenge. Our member Sandy won the draw and we look forward to seeing the finished quilt.

Some more completed blocks were shared.
Karen shared her covered bridge block.

Sue J. shared her 'spools' block.
Finished projects were shared by our very talented members.
Ceil finished the featured member's choices blocks into a very nice quilt.

This is Sharon's quilt made from featured member's choices blocks.

Sharon's wallhanging is completed.

Carolyn B. created this wonky block quilt from our pinwheel exchange from last year.

Carolyn T's baby blanket.

Chris is hiding behind her last snowman hanging.

Shirley completed this quilt from a set of quarterly blocks she won.

Barb knitted a pattern with three snowmen. Never again she says!

Barb has almost finished one sock.

<<< First time gramma Sandy shows off her new granddaughter.

Elaine knitted this sweater for Sandy's new grand-babe.   >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

And last we were treated by Mom-Daughter duo Carolyn T and Chris to a showing of banners they had made for their church.

For our readers information this will be the next to the last post I will be making on this blog. Starting in July our member Sue J. will be continuing to blog about our guild. She will be posting at a new blog address that I will be adding the link to on my last post in two weeks. I started this blog just short of three years ago and have enjoyed sharing it with you but it's time for fresh talent to take over. Be sure to tune in and bookmark the new link. Hugs to all our followers, Roxanne

  1. Nice "show", Roxanne. Fun to see what other groups are doing. I like that you added in the knitting.
